The judiciary regularly needs expertise on a specific subject. An expert can then be appointed as a Judicial Expert by the relevant Court or Court of Appeal. The KiFiD (Financial Services Complaints Institute) may also need a Judicial Expert.

Tom successfully completed the Judicial Expert training at Leiden University. He has been appointed as Judicial Expert for various courts and tribunals. He has also been appointed as an expert in investment fraud cases for the Public Prosecution Service (the ‘Landelijke Deskundigheidsmakelaar’ of the Police Academy) and is included as an expert in the Expert Index (DIX).

Tom is involved in various ( inter)national investigations. These concern matters relating to the Financial Supervision Act (Wft), the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wet ter voorkoming van witwassen en financieren van terrorisme – Wwft) and integrity issues.
